It's almost Christmas! It is the last week of term and the school is looking lovely!

Last week it was the Junior school Christmas Panto which was an absolute success. All the pupils had got their parts spot on and the little reception class didn't want to leave the stage.

The story was the Wizard of Oz and it was a classic.

This week there is the delight of Christmas dinners and the school Christmas Entertainment which is bound to raise a few smiles, and then a Carol service in the Priory which is a lovely way to round off the term.

I've finally finished this book!
It has taken me ages but I am pleased to say, that this week, I finally turned the last page...and it was a great book. Although the last parts of the book are quite strange and it took me a while to figure out what was going on.
I would like to see what happened to Pi after his ordeal/adventure just to see how he came to terms with hius life after the loss of his family and livelyhood.
Anyway, try the book and stick with it.

Year 6 Independent Learning Challenge

Year 6 pupils will be starting their Independent Learning Challenge this week.

This challenge is an opportunity foreach pupil to undertake some research and perhaps practical tasks based on a subject/idea/topic that they are interested in.

Each pupil has to choose a topic or subject that inspires them. They then have to decide what they want to find out about or do. Each pupil is encouraged to include some research as well as a practical element. For example if you are interested in learning more about dog training, your challenge could then consist of some research into dog behaviour, your dog training lessons and then a record of how your training actually went. The most important part of the challenge is deciding what you want to do!

Our first session is all about thinking! Thinking about the currciulum, what you have to study at school and the things that you want to learn about.
